These are the workshops when I teach my classic 'Six Stages' approach to creating great paintings.

Over 5 days, you will learn the hidden or underlying principles that make great paintings, how to simplify the often complex subjects you choose, how to develop strong designs and compositions, how harmonious colour schemes are planned, and how to bring your painting from a blank canvas to a a strong finished painting.

What's the difference between the Great Paintings Workshops and the Great Landscapes Workshops?

The Great Paintings workshops are studio based and so you can bring both landscape and still life subject matter as your reference material from which to paint your pictures; on the Great Landscapes workshops the plan is to paint outdoors as much as possible, so these workshops focus only on landscape subject matter, including of course seascape, harbours, townscapes etc as appropriate to each location.

These workshops are most suited to artists with a little experience, or more experienced artists who haven't previously attended any of my 'Six Steps' workshops.
